Personal training and online coaching with a human

You’ll be coached by me, an actual human being, not AI. As cliche as this may sound, I would like to put the ‘personal’ back in personal training, as human connection is what matters most to people.

My coaching is based on proven methods used by experts, alongside approaches I have found effective. I focus on creating programming that is straightforward to follow, helping you build sustainable habits that lead to steady, long term progress.

An explanation of how my programs work

Training runs in phases (typically six weeks), each with a focus on progressive overload, tempo changes, and different set and rep ranges. Rest and de-load weeks are also part of sustainable progress, which are accounted for in your program.

Progressive overload: difficulty increases gradually through heavier weights or more reps so you avoid plateaus and keep progressing.

Tempo: this is another tool to use when strength is plateauing; slowing down, pausing and adding partial reps.

Repetition: key movements are repeated so you can improve technique, and develop strength and muscle over time. It may seem boring at times, but consistency delivers results.

Recovery: rest and de-load weeks are there to help you rest.

Nutrition Guidance: Calories (and macros) are adjusted based on your current phase and your overall goals.

Phase to phase progression: each phase follows on from the last. We can modify your program should your needs and goals change.

Bringing all of this together, I will:

  • Guide your training and will keep you accountable

  • Be a safe place for everyone, and have you feeling strong and confident in the gym and comfortable being yourself

  • Provide a routine that suits your lifestyle and helps with consistency

  • Be an empathetic coach who cares and makes it personal
